Rumor has it that following the recent strings of legal spats between Apple and the Korean electronics Giant, there is a very strong possibility that this time around, Samsung will not be a part of Apple’s supply chain.
The much anticipated iPad 3 is anticipated to go into production as early as October and most probably without Samsung. Prior to the seemingly endless lawsuits, several of which have been won by Apple, Samsung was a key supplier to Apple and provided iPad displays.
Apple has reportedly lined up a deal with LG, which currently is providing displays for the iPad 2, to be one of the display suppliers for the iPad 3. Also, Apple is in the process of finalizing a $1 billion deal with Sharp, which we anticipate is a prepayment for the iPad 3’s display.
The guts of the iPad 3 will most likely feature the new A6 chip, developed by Apples in house production. Assembly for the iPad 3 will most likely continue with Foxconn. However, a second assembler, Pegatron Corp. will also reportedly pick up production of the iPad 3. Looks like Apple has learnt from its past mistakes and this time around will make sure to have a healthy supply of iPad 3 units available to meet the enormous demand.

Around this time of the year is when all sorts of Apple rumors kick in, and let’s face the fact that they basically are rumors. What people or ‘sources’ claim are just their opinions or something they have heard along the grapevine, rumors that have absolutely no backing whatsoever.
Recently I read a report on a Chinese website that claimed the next iPad, i.e. iPad3 or iPad2+ or whatever Apple decides to call it, is going to come out in time for the holiday season. The apparent claim was that Apple wanted an iPad3 to be under the Christmas tree of every household by the time the holidays. By the time I was finished reading that report, I wanted to find out who was this writes ‘source’ so I could meet him and knock some sense into him.
Apple is known to strictly follow a one year product life cycle program, meaning they wait an year at least to release a newer model of any of their iDevice line of products. Why is the world would Apple release

Digitimes has release a report stating that the second generation iPad or “iPad 2″ will be shipping in just about 100 days from now (end of febuary 2011) .
The report states that Foxconn, Apple’s longtime manufacturer, has notified China, where their production plant is located, that a shipment of about 400,000-600,000 iPads will be made in within the next 100 days.
